K-Motion

K-Motion is an all female Korean pop dance cover group at the University of Michigan. They were formed in Fall 2013 by a group of ladies who wanted to share their passion for Korean pop dances and Korean pop music. The name K-Motion came about after a long brainstorming session amongst the leaders of the group and in the end they chose K-Motion due to its fun and energetic vibe. Also the name K-Motion has been punned with the word "commotion". K-Motion started causing commotion after their debut performance at CSA's Celebrasia in Fall 2014 with 8 members, ranging from Freshman to Juniors.

The group has since gained popularity and performed at a variety of events such as: CSA's Celebrasia, ΚΦΛ's Inspired Show, Cultural Collision, CSA's Lunar Ball, UMonument, TWASA's Taste of Taiwan, Kopitonez a capella Concert, APIA High School Conference, MGC Charity Ball, and more to come! In Fall 2014 at Celebrasia K-Motion performed their first collaboration with Daebak 3 also known as DB3, an all male K-pop dance cover group. The two dance groups collaborated on the song "Come Back Home" by 2NE1.

At the beginning of each school year K-Motion hosts auditions to recruit new members. To publicize their dance group they participated in Festifall, spread the word on social media like Facebook, and also by telling their friends. As the group continues to gain recognition across campus, the ladies of K-Motion hope to continue spreading their passion for dance and K-Pop through their lively, entertaining, cute, and sexy dance performances.
